"We recently had the pleasure of recording some tracks at the Golden Egg studios for our new promo video. The  studio is just outside portlaoise town which makes it very accessible and easy to find while also being in a nice and quiet area which is great for fuelling creativity and work progress. 

on arrival we were made feel very welcome and treated to fresh coffee and scones in the upstairs chill out area which has lovely views of the surrounding country side. 

The studio recording area has a lovely sounding room for capturing the atmosphere of your tracks perfectly, our drum tracks sounded huge even before any eq was added!. The engineers booth is kitted out with state of the art analgue and digital equipment and just about any microphone you can think of and most importantly a couch for the band to sit on and wreck the engineers head while he tries to mix your tracks! 

we spent three days at Golden Egg, one day recording and two mixing and enjoyed every minute. Our engineer was Brian who was very open to the bands suggestions on how things should sound while still offering his experienced opinion on how it could sound its best, he even thought us a few vocal harmonies!
